平沢ソロとしては4枚めのアルバム。
古くからのファンの間ではそのタイトルの真意をはかりかねて論議を呼んだ「LOVE SONG」収録。個人的にはいちばん一般受けしやすいアルバムではなかったかと思います。「舵をとれ」は後年アニメの主題歌になりましたし、「風の分身」の曲調はちょっと大瀧詠一テイスト。なんか普通にポップじゃない？　と思ってたら、さすがヒラサワ、最後にタンジェリン・ドリームを持ってきて面目躍如の一枚。タイトルチューンは美しくも凛々しい、ヒラサワ風人生の応援歌（！）でしょうか。

リリース時のコピーは、全く持って真実であった。
リリースから14年経った今でも全く色褪せていない。
2008年2月現在、僕にとってのベスト・オブ・平沢かな？（対抗馬は「救済の技法」）
もし、今、無人島に持って行くCDを1枚だけ選ぶとしても、
真っ先に選択肢に入るだろう。

本アルバムは、長年テクノポップの大御所として常に業界をリードしてきた平沢進の記念すべきファーストソロアルバムです。そこに展開される平沢ワールドは誰も聴いたことのない独特の物です。高く低く朗々と流れるメロディーとボーカルは他に類を見ない素晴らしい物です。全てはここから始まった、平沢ソロワールド、是非聴いてみてください！
