ショーケンの朝食のオープニング。が子供ながらにすきでした。傷だらけの天使のテーマと相まって･･･すごいインパクトがありました。水谷豊の「兄貴~」というのもすきでした。

太陽に吠えろの若き主役に抜擢されたのが元PYG(井上尭之バンドの前身)のショーケンでした。これが本格的なロックミュージックが連続ドラマに採用される大きな幸運を生み、結果的にも大成功となったと思うと、偶然とは時に粋なプレゼントを残してくれるものだと感心してしまう。とにかく音楽と映像の一体感が半端ではなく、日本一美しい走り姿と称された松田優作の疾走が思わず目に浮かぶ「青春のテーマ」や、水谷豊のコミカルな演技の相乗効果を鼓舞する「天使の享楽」など、思い出のシーンに不可分な相乗効果を上げていると思う。

PYGの「お前と俺」がそのままインストに生まれ変わった「怒りのテーマ」はもとより、映像から離れても素晴らしいクオリティがあるのにも改めて驚く。プロコルハルム張りの哀愁溢れるオルガンから躍動感溢れるリズム（ベースが凄い）まで幅広く楽しめ、どんな気分にも対応してくれる最高のBGM集で、パブロフの犬状態になるであろう昔のファンはもちろん、聴いたことのない方にもオススメです。

この間ラガーこと渡辺徹が関西の深夜番組に出て喋ってました。いつから太ったのか？と聞かれて「いつも太っていて太陽にほえろの前後２，３年だけ痩せていた」という答えには笑ってしまいました。新米刑事というとやたら走り回ってるシーンが多かったのですが、それは演出の人が「新人はどうせ演技ができない」と考えてとにかく必死な表情を出させるために走らせたそうです。汗をかき鼻水を出し、その顔が視聴者を感動させると思ってたそうですが、はっきりいってうっとおしかっただけです。ゴリさん（竜雷太）はすぐに「ごり押し」をするからゴリさんだったんですね。私はゴリラに似ているからと思ってました。あとゴリさんは本番中もポケットにワンカップ大関を隠していたので上着がふくらんでいたそうです。チェックしてみて下さい。
