レコード大賞をとった名曲「愛は勝つ」が収録されているアルバムです。

「KAN＝さわやか青年」のイメージがついているあなた、このアルバムを聴いてください。
「愛は勝つ」がKANが構築する世界観の一部分にしかすぎない事に気が付くはずです。

ヒット曲がでず泣かず飛ばずだったKANがいい意味で
ふっきれた聴いていて心地よいアルバムとなっています。

とうとう「愛は勝つ」という２００万枚近い売り上げの大ヒット曲を出したKAN。
今までのアルバムよりもポップ路線で一般受けしやすい構成になったと思うのは
気のせいではないはず。

2. 「恋する二人の834km」 で遠距離恋愛の男女を描き、
5.「 千歳」では過去に別れた恋人と北海道の千歳空港で再会するという物語が語られる。
　「長い時間」＝「千歳」で、「千歳空港」という設定の妙。
9. 「1989(ア・バラッド・オブ・ボビー&オリビア)」でも成功を夢見る男と恋人になった女の
　すれ違いになり別れていく様を悲しくも歌い上げる。

他にも非常に早いテンポで歌われる曲が多く見られ、
彼が決して「愛は勝つ」だけの一発屋ではないことは明白である。
が、世間は彼を愛は勝つだけの男としか見なかったようだ。

それ故に、一時期は「愛は勝つ」を全く歌わなかったという彼。
傑作を世に出していく彼も、大ヒットの陰で悩む彼もまた「彼」である。

生まれて初めて買ったCDです。
あの頃のKANさんにどれだけ夢中になったことでしょうか。
これしか持っていなかったのもあって、擦り切れそうになるまで何度も聴きました。
「愛は勝つ」はモチロン名曲ですけど、「けやき通りが色づく頃」もしんみりできていいです。
