朝一番の音楽に、眠れない夜の寝つけ薬に、又はホッとするために、私はこれを聴きます。
もう10年以上聴いています。
昔飼っていたセキセイインコは、ある場面に来ると必ず歌いだしていました。
そんなアルバムです。

特にピアノ・ソナタがよい。今まで聴いたモーツァルトのソナタ中最も感銘深い演奏。いろいろな曲を聴いてみたくなるが、全くホロヴィッツは徹底的に自分が好きな曲しか弾かないという感じ。でもそれでいい。この曲がある。

僕はホロヴィッツの大ファンです。指揮者の中でもジュリーニ先生が大好き。なのにこの協奏曲演奏は・・・。ホロヴィッツはよほど躁状態だったのでしょうか。元来「遅い派」のジュリーニがホロヴィッツ流の快速調に付き合わされ、ミラノ・スカラ座オケのアンサンブルも乱れ勝ち。「第2楽章はアダージョではない。流れるように弾かなくてはならない」というピアニストの主張も正しいとは思うのですが、フレージングへの思い入れ・配慮が足りない。よってアマルガムになっていない。余白の?ソナタのほうは文句なしの絶品。グラモフォンらしい美しい録音がホロヴィッツ美学の真髄を見事に捉えています。ソナタについては星五つです。
