5.0 out of 5 stars チェリビダッケ充実の時代, 2002/12/29
これは名演である。晩年の演奏は、ややもするとテンポを遅くしすぎ緊張感を失ったり、またデフォルメが過ぎたりすることも多い彼の指揮だが、壮年期の演奏が、こうした良い音で録音されているとは何と言う幸せ。シュトゥットガルト放送交響楽団とチェリビダッケの蜜月時代を感じさせる名演。チェリビダッケの息の長いフレージングを意のままに表現する弦楽器セクション、表現力豊かな木管セクション等素晴らしい演奏を聞かせている。これは彼の最高傑作の1つであり、数多いブラ４の演奏の中でも、忘れられない１枚。

私がバイとで読売日響の裏方をしていた頃、１９７７年チェリビダッケは来日した。丁度その付近の録音なので、晩年のミュンヘン・フィルの頃のように、間延びしていない、読響とやった、神奈川県民のブラームスの４番も、生涯忘れられない演奏だ。彼は最後にこの素晴らしい演奏を残してくれた。ブラームス : 交響曲 第4番の決定的名演と言えるだろう。

当時のチェリとオーケストラの関係が、そしてそれぞれの芸術的な「気」のようなものがいかに充実していたかが良く分かる演奏である。学生時代、ＦＭで放送されたのを聴いたが、じっくり聴くとその良さが改めて分かる。１楽章の「タンゴ」（？）が実によくスイングしている。希望に満ちたスケルツオ的３楽章、全身全霊を傾けた４楽章も秀逸。チェリの気合いを入れる「声」にオーケストラが機敏に呼応する。このような関係は国際色やプライドをどんどん失っていく現代のオーケストラには望み得ないだろう。
