私自信もこの作品を以下のように紹介されました。
「弦楽器の質がよいことと、ホルンの響きが何よりも美しくなくてはという、絶対条件があるのです。
ベームの演奏は、この条件を世界一満たすオケに、絶妙なテンポ感覚を加味して、圧倒的な感動を運んでくれるのです。
モノラル時代のクライバー以来、すべての条件を満たした演奏といえます。」

値段の１０倍以上の価値はあります、絶対に。

5.0 out of 5 stars 格調高い指揮で纏め上げている, 2008/5/10
　完成度に関しては文句ない。特徴としては、おそらくベームの要求にこたえるためだと思うが、完全たらしめるべく緊張感を伴った演奏だ。といっても萎縮してしまうような種類のそれではなく、大いなる目標に向かって、メンバー全員の合意のもとに進んでいくような広がりを持っている。
