ショパンのノクターンはピアノを勉強している方やヘビーリスナー以外の一般の方も手にとって聴きたいＣＤの一つではないでしょうか？
そんな方にはピリスのノクターンは大変お薦めです。
（勿論ヘビーリスナーの方にも）
ピリスのその落ち着いた演奏はとても安らぎ、上手くノクターンの魅力を引き出しています。彼女はポルトガル出身との事ですが、面白いのは時折演奏に見え隠れするスパニッシュの雰囲気。これも演奏の魅力の一つになっています。

アシュケナージのノクターンと比較すると、ピリスの方がうまくピアノで歌わせていると思います。聴いていて自然なのです。

他の演奏者と比較しても、かなりお薦めです。

追記：
このＣＤには、映画「戦場のピアニスト」で使われた嬰ハ短調（遺作）も収録されています。しかし、ピリスは楽譜を原典版で演奏しているので若干楽曲に違いがあります。もしこの曲がお目当てであるなら注意された方が良いでしょう。

私はノクターンでは長くルービンシュタインの演奏ばかりを聞いてきましたので、
ノクターンがこんなにダイナミックな面を持っているのだと知りませんでした。
買ってしばらくは珍しくって何度も聞いていましたが、
今はやはりルービンシュタインのＣＤに戻ってしまっています。

ＣＤで繰り返し聞くとなると、
飽きのこないオーソドックスなものが好まれると思いますが、
聞くときの気分の変化もあり、ノクターンほどの好きな曲は
こうしてまったく違った演奏がある方が嬉しいかも知れません。

ルービンシュタインと比べるもなく、とっても綺麗な音で弾かれているし、
ロマンティックな演奏でもあるので、お薦め盤ではあります。
