デビュー作ながらイーノとリリーホワイトの豪華陣を迎えた力の入った作品です。パンクの嵐の吹き荒れる中、如何にオリジナリティーを表現するか、といったことが十分感じられる名曲が並びます。初期ウルトラヴォックスのその後の２枚は、これとは雰囲気が変わりますが、むしろこの１枚目はこれで完結したアルバムとして見れば、その多彩な表現力にも納得できます。そんな中でも特に「I　WANT TO BE MACHIN」と「MY SEX」を聴くだけでも価値のある１枚です。
