このアルバムを語るのに、すでに15年ほど前のアルバムという事実を押さえることは必要であろう。もちろんテクニックとしてはすでにトニーを凌駕するギタリストも存在することは事実として認めなければならないことだが、未だにここまで鮮烈かつ豪放にメタルスタイルのギターを弾きまくったアルバムに出あったことがない。
１"Autumn Lords"のメインメロディの立ち上がりの衝撃はどうだ？まるで遥か彼方に聳え立つ連峰のように荒々しく、激しい。地表に這いつくばる我々の前に立ちはだかるようではないか？２"Hundreds Of Thousands"に至っては、容赦なくテーマメロディから聴く者を恐怖のドン底に突き落とすようなプレイの応酬。ドラムスの好演も見逃せないが、一滴の水すらも漏らさないような完璧な曲構成とフレージング。全曲通じてもう参ったって感じ。

この頃のトニー・マカパインの異常なギターの上手さは一体
何だったのだろうか･･･。例えて言うならオリンピックのメダ
リストのような凄さです。それだけではないのがこの楽曲の
良さ！どの曲もメロディアスでエネルギーに溢れています。

１９８７年リリースの超絶早弾きギタリスト・トニーマカパインのセカンドアルバム・・・裏ジャケットのアフロな彼とは思えないプレイを炸裂させています。トニーの人気はこのアルバムで確立されました・・・後、苦労するのですが・・・。ドラムが凄くてあのディーンカストロノヴァが叩いてます（アトマアナーも叩いてます）。他楽器はトニーがやってます・・・キーボードもうまいんですよ、彼は！！３曲目・９曲目はジョージリンチ、６曲目はジェフワトソンと当時？のスーパーギタリストとバトルを繰広げています。トニーマカパインを体験したい人は、ファーストかこのセカンドです！！
