   10曲目『カモン・アイリーン』の大ヒット以前から、彼らは母国イギリスでかなりの位置にいた。だが、全世界レベルになる前に減速。というのも、フロントマンのケビン・ローランドが曲者で、メンバーチェンジは年柄年中、目指す音楽もそのつど変化する。そのためメンバーはおろか、リスナーもついていけなくなってしまったのだ。次の作品でも、案の定路線変更されている。（春野丸緒）

捨て曲なしの好盤です。ソウルをベースにしたメロディに特徴のある佳曲が多い中で、「カモン・アイリーン」は特別にソウルポップスです。イントロの「ダッダダ　ダッダダ・・・」がはじまるだけで、未来が力強く開いていくような予感がするのは、高校生の時から３０代の今にかけてずっと変わりません。
