録音時期も期間も古いのですが、音はそんなに悪くはありません。多くは誰もが知っている超有名曲です。それに演奏にもムラがありませんし、それどころか同じメンバーの演奏のような統一感が素晴らしい。まさしく、足並みがぴたっと揃ってみごとです。

この種の値段の手頃なＣＤは録音状態が良くないか、または演奏の質が良くないかのどちらかである場合がある。まず録音状態であるが、この録音は１９６１〜１９７０年に録音されたものでＡＤＤだ。しかし年代の割に録音状態は良い。むしろブラスが華美になり過ぎないまろやかさを持っている。大出力オーディオで聴いても十分に堪能出来る。

演奏は迫力十分。少し過剰ぎみかと思える程抑揚を使い分けているが、その部分以外は少し平坦にも感じる。しかしマーチは少々平坦なくらいが丁度良い。選曲は誰でも知っている様な有名な曲ばかりだ。

録音、演奏ともに優れている。この演奏に酔いしれていると爽快な気分になる。
