武満さんは闘病中にも時折コンサートホールに足を運んでおられた。今でも東京文化会館なんかでスウっとすれ違いそうな気がして仕方がない。彼の周りにはいつも透明な独特の空気があるようだった。遺作の「エア」を聴いていてそんな感覚を思い出した。★

現代音楽と言えば難しく、不協和音が多いという
イメージがやはり多いですが武満さんの音楽は非常に繊細で
美しいオーケストレーションが魅力で耳に優しく響いてきます。
代表作品の一つである「ノーヴェンバーステップス」と「エクリプス」は尺八と琵琶の特性を生かし、不思議な空間を作り上げています。
「ファミリー・トゥリー」は無調のように感じない部分もあり、優しい場面や厳しい場面を非常に上手に作り上げています。「弦楽のためのレクイエム」も代表作の一つであり、この曲は非常に厳格な雰囲気の曲で嘆き悲しむ声が聞こえてきそうな曲です。
少しでも武満さんの音楽を聴いてみたいと思っている方は是非聴いてみて下さい。繊細で美しい音楽の世界が貴方を感動させてくれると思います。

現代音楽の作曲者だから、という理由で武満徹を聴かない人も多いだろう。
そんな人も、せめて「系図」は死ぬまでに一度聴いてほしい。
さぁ、聴いてやるぞ！と身構えると
あまりに幻想的な「やさしさ」に包まれて
気がつけば「言葉と音の贅沢さ」の虜となるであろう。
安っぽい「癒し」の音が氾濫する中で、
これほどまでに贅沢で高級感のある「やすらぎ」を味わえる作品は
そう耳にすることはない。

遠野凪子のナレーションは少々棒読みの感じになるのが残念だが
終楽章の「遠く」では、どこか切なさを感じる雰囲気が良い。
