キャロルの解散が75年だからもう11年になる。[5]の日比谷野外音楽堂での最後のコンサートがなつかしい。やっぱり彼らの本領はライヴで,[3]にしても[5]にしても迫力が違う。矢沢のエーちゃんのツバが飛んでくるようだ。彼らが72年にデビューしてからの3年間は,今こうしてこの5枚を聴くにつけ,非常に充実した3年間だったんだなあと思う。演奏技術もけっこうしっかりしているし,矢沢永吉の音楽性も優れたものだ。あえてロックン・ロールにこだわった,70年代前半の最高のモニュメントだったことがわかる。

後半のロックンロールシリーズが最高！永ちゃんのベースギターも最高！　キャロルを聞くならまずこれでしょう。私の一番好きなアルバムです。発売以来３０年たっても耳から離れません。

ジャケットの右端ドラマーを見て欲しい　実はユウ岡崎ではない。
すでに　この時期には　ユウはメンバーとして活動していたが　
あえて　ちがうメンバーの写真をそのまま使ったのは、ビートルズの
リンゴスターを　意識させる　永ちゃんの意図か？　
ちなみに　このドラマー相原誠は　後にダウンタウンブギウギバンドの

ドラマーとして（つなぎに「誠」の文字）再デビューする

このルイジアンナは何枚か出ているＬＰ・カセットとは内容が
ちょっと違う。
他のものは、同じ曲を順序を入れ替えたりしているものが多い中、
この「ルイジアンナ」にしか入っていない曲（トリビュートして）を多々
聞く事が出来る。
ＣＤ化しているＬＰの中で一番と言っても過言ではないと思う。
