　"You'd be so nice"のヘレン・メリルと言われる彼女。ほのかに色気を漂わせた、白人女性ボーカル特有の歌い方と独特のハスキー声で、必ずしも歌は上手い方ではない … などと評されながらも、今でも人気を保っているのは、やはり実力と認めるべきだろう。

　本作は一曲目から、「バッハッハ~イ」などと色仕掛けで攻めてくる。ちと過剰の様にも思えるけど、こう言うのが好きな人にはお奨めです。ヴァーヴ録音の"You've got the date of the blues"は同趣の作品として、同様にお奨め。
