映画「サルサ！」を観てない方でも楽しめるアルバム。
星が1つ足りない分は映画冒頭におけるピアノ・ソロが収録されてない……という事。
サルサを聞きなれた耳にも、サルサに詳しく無い方にも、自信を持って『良いアルバム』と言えるのは確か。

一曲目からワクワクするリズムの洪水。踊れない、歌えない、リズム感ない私。けどラテン音楽は楽しい。陽気で情熱的で官能的なキューバから生まれたサルサ。映画を見逃した人も一枚のアルバムとして楽しめます。1から13まで文句なし、そのまま続けて14「マンディンガ」のルベーン・ゴンサーレスはもう最高。人生の喜怒（愛）楽に乾杯！そしてアルバムを聞き終えたら一言「愛がなければ、人生はない」。

映画も観たけど音楽が効いてます。
ソンからブーガルーも何もかも。おフランスチョイスなところがとってもおしゃれ。サルサ教室でも練習曲によく使われています。いろいろ聴いたけど、サルサがラテン演歌だとしても、シエラマエストラは渋いのです。
