97年4月に亡くなったKUROちゃんの追悼盤。西岡恭蔵のベスト・パートナーとして素敵な詞をたくさん書いてくれただけでなく、その存在そのものが多くのミュージシャンにとって大切な人だった。この追悼アルバムには、太田裕美をはじめ、彼女の作品をレコーディングしたことのないミュージシャンも多数参加している。一緒に仕事をしたことはなくても、気になる人であり、気になる詞だったのだ。恭蔵さんの[1](1)が何とも切なく、それでいて温かく心にしみ入る。最初の作品である大塚まさじ&永井洋の[1](3)に彼女の内なる世界の広さを感じ、“あるがまま”の姿でゆったりと生きることの素晴らしさを思い起こさせてくれる。今みたいな時代にこそ彼女の言葉が必要なのだと痛感。どのミュージシャンもKUROちゃんの詞を心の底から大切に歌っていて、それが何よりもうれしい。本当に好きだった人を追悼する気持ちが素直に伝わってくる素敵なアルバムだ。 (平原康司) --- 1998年10月号
