サニーデイサービスをデビュー当初からずっと追いかけてきて、
解散してこうして何年もたった今やはり今でも聞きたいと思うのは
このアルバム。シングルの白い恋人、サマーソルジャーに始まり
全ての楽曲が切ない切ないメロディーで曽我部さんの歌声ととても
うまく絡み合ってすばらしい曲に仕上がっていると思います。

他にもいいアルバムはたくさんある中、それでもこのアルバムに
は一番サニーデイらしさが詰まっていると思う。このアルバムを
持ってない人はぜひ聞いてみてほしいです。

　この辺りのサニーデイは今聴いてもある種の凄みを感じさせる。このアルバムがリリースされた約半年後にはあの｢サニーデイ･サービス｣が出ているわけで名曲量産体制、全盛期に入った事を実感させたものだった。特にこのアルバムの構成の完璧さには恐れ入った次第。

　1、2枚目の爽やかさから一気にシリアスになった逞しいオープニングの1からして成長の度合いが段違いであることに気づく。シングルになった素晴らしい名曲2、ディストーションの効いたギターが力強い3、一転して軽やかな70年代風歌謡フォークの4、素晴らしいギター･ソロが聴ける弾き語りフォーク5、このアルバムでは唯一昼を感じさせるポップな6、珍しくヨーロッパを題材にしたタイトルソング7、心地よいスロー･ナンバーの8、!このアルバムというか、サニーデイを代表する力強くもはかなさを感じさせる甘酸っぱさ全開の大名曲9、そしてアルバムのピークから静かに、そして淡々と別れを告げる10と聴いていてあまりの完成度に溜息がでるばかり。全10曲、どれをとっても素晴らしい。

　完成度という点を考えれば後期の作品も忘れられないけど、全体の統一感といい一曲、一曲の素晴らしさといい個人的には最も敬愛するアルバムです。正に一生モノですぜ！

サニーデイの中では、このアルバムが一番すきです。
音楽の完成度、詩の雰囲気、曲のアレンジすべてがマッチしていて
奇跡の名作です。それは、このアルバムがバンドとしての音がでている
からだと思います。サニーデイが傾き始めたＭＵＧＥＮ以降ほど演奏やコード選びはマニアック
じゃないし、詩もＬove albumにくらべると素朴なテーマです。
でも、なんでいいのかといったらバンドとして、全員の息があっているからだと思います。
はじめに聞くなら、間違えなくこのアルバム！
ジャケットもかっこいいし。
