フォークロックという範疇でくくってしまうには惜しい、オープニング『朝は詩人』から名唱＋名演がほとばしるアルバム。ボ・ガンボスが参加していることでも話題になりました。（このレコーディングセッションでの友部との交流を契機にどんとはソロとしての決意を固めたのではないでしょうか?)
モノクロのアートディレクションも秀逸。海外のミュージシャンでいえば WaterboysかStian Carstensenの2000年のアルバムFarmers Marketかというような世界観が表されています。

　心というものに、もし形があるのなら
　友部正人のうたは、そのまわりを回ってる
　形は無いが存在することを
　メロディーとリズムと言葉で歌ってる

　優しさが優しい気持ちだけで出来ていない事を
　悲しみが悲しい気持ちだけで出来ていない事を
　学校の先生なんかは教えられない事を
　友部正人は教えずに気づかせてくれる

　僕たちの心に真っ直ぐな清らかさが生きているならば
　友部正人もきっとそこにいる
　存在全体への愛があるのなら
　友部正人もきっとそこにいる

　友部正人の９４年の作品。日増しにこのCDが優しく聞こえてくる。

この人の声や詩は、濡れているのに湿っぽくない。乾いてるのにカラッとしていない。透明ではないのに透き通っている。まるで梅雨の晴れ間のような。
3曲で今は亡きボ・ガンボスと、2曲でモジョクラブと共演。ほかＲＣでおなじみどくとる梅津＆片山広明率いるブラスセクションや、ムーンライダースの武川氏などゲスト多数。
