'96年発売のベストアルバム。
ジャケットデザインはあまり誉められませんが、貴重音源も収録の名編集盤です。
'76年の幻のシングル「スローバラード／やさしさ」は初のシングルバージョンの再発。
トランジスタ・ラジオは未発表の初期録音。イントロとエンディングが長すぎるのがいまいちですが、中間部の削られていない

フルサイズのスタジオ録音は初登場となります。
RCの未発表スタジオ録音が登場したのはこれが初の事でした。その後はいまだにありませんが。

音源はリマスターされているのか過去のCDより音質が向上しています。
これに「ハード・フォーク・サクセション」を加えれば'80年までのRCの軌跡は終追えると思います。

リマスターがされて音が良くなってます。しかし好みの問題だと思いますが、リバーブをかけ過ぎたような感じの音質が好きになれません。それでもトランジスタ・ラジオの完全版が収録されているのが、このベスト盤の最大の魅力です。

ＲＣ作品はたくさんあってそれぞれに思い出もあるが
本作は選曲が非常に良くあなどれない。
気が付けばよく聴いている。
Best of ベスト、Best of 入門盤だと思う。
聴いて欲しい名盤もあるが本作だけ聴きこめば十分だとも思うし、
しかし本作を聴いたら、もっともっと聴きたくなるはずだ。
そしたら初期にさかのぼるも良しその後の作品を聴くも良し、
で結局どれもよくて全部聴く羽目になるのか・・・
