名盤である。私が初めて聞いたのは確か小学校の頃だったので、LPが発売されたのは既に15年以上前だと思うが、今聴いても全く古くささを感じさせないのが不思議だ。アレンジが良いこと、当時流行の音色を使わなかったこと、そして何より曲そのものの完成度の高さがおそらくその理由だろう。10曲でも40分程度の短いアルバムだが、各々の曲がそれぞれ素晴らしく、密度が濃い。1曲たりともハズレが無い。私は安全地帯も玉置浩二も特に好きではないのだが、このアルバムだけはいまだに時々針を落としている。

安全地帯の名作の中では本作がやはり評価が高いですね、私も本作品が彼らの名盤ぞろいの中では一番好きです、特に個人的には「夢のつづき」は名曲中の名曲だと思っています、何か夢心地気分のような幻想的なメロディーと玉置さんの歌声が優しい感じを与えてくれます、当時の安全地帯をオンタイムで知るファンには名盤中の名盤です

安全地帯ファンとしては珍しいことに(?)、「悲しみにさよなら」が嫌いな私は、長いことこのアルバムを買いませんでした。しかし、「こしゃくなTEL」が入っているので買ってみると、なんじゃこりゃああ！すごい名盤ではないか！「ありふれないで」や「彼女は何かを知っている」など、特に好きな曲もあるけど、アルバムとしてとても統一されていて、スムーズに全曲聴くことができます。このアルバムの中でなら「悲しみにさよなら」もスンナリ聞くことができるのが不思議。私は少し未熟なIIも好きだけど、IVは完成されたポップスといった感じ。こんなアルバムの後にあのVを出したのだから、当時はえらいことになってたんだろうなあ…と思う昨今です。
