もはや当代随一のタブラ奏者といって何ら憚る事はないだろう、ザキール・フセインを前面に押し出した一枚である。録音は非常にクリアー、演奏者の息遣いまで伝わり臨場感に富む。共演者の一人がガタム（壷をペタペタ叩く）をあやつり、カンジーラ（タンバリン様のもの）とのデュエットを披露している。多くのインド古典のＣＤ、カセットを聞いてきたがガタムは大変珍しい。それだけでも一聴の価値があるのではないか。最後のザキール本人によるタブラ・デモンストレーションも捨てがたい。タブラの初心者がバイエルのように繰り返す韻律を発声を交えて延々と叩いていくのだが、この部分だけでもアマとプロ、いや凡人と神の違いを体感できるはずだ。たった二つの太鼓から無限の音を生み出すその様を彼は楽し!げに見せてくれる。ザキールが炸裂しているのである。

人間業じゃない。まさに超絶だ。
軽い気持ちで聞いてみたら、ものすごく引き込まれてしまった。日本の古典（雅楽等）はあまり好きじゃないが、場所が変わるとこんなにも自分にフィットする古典があったのかと思わされた。
音も非常にいい。ホームシアターか、それがなくてもちょっといいスピーカーで音量を上げて聞くと、まさにそこにいる感じがする。
