私は、あぶらだこのアルバムの中でこのアルバム(通称 釣盤)が1番好きです。
一般的な、このアルバムを聞き終えた感想は『ロックなアルバムだ!』『あぶらだこの中では、わかりやすい』という意見が多いように感じます。
私が、あぶらだこのアルバムの中で何故1番好きなのかというと、一つは和泉氏のギターの音が最高に私好みであるということです。アルバムレコーディング当時、和泉氏は北欧のブラックメタル等を頻繁に聴いていたそうなのですが、そういった影響が音とプレイに少し表れているような気がします。このアルバムのギターの歪みの音は決して現在の歪みの音ではなくて、60年代後半〜70年代前半に聴くことのできたファズの音だと私は思います。曲によってはジミヘンを感じたり、ブラックサバスを感じたり、ブルーチアーを感じたり、海外マイナーサイケを感じたりして大変素晴らしいと思います。
そして小町のディストーションベースがグングン曲をリードし、キャッチーなフレーズを繰り出し、持ち味であるハードコアを感じさせるフレーズも凄く好きです!
そして最高の表現者であり、あぶらだこのほとんどの楽曲を作詞作曲するヒロトモの唄が聴ける大名盤だと思います。

けっして、『わかりやすい』だけが売りのアルバムではなくて『マニアック』なニオイがぷんぷんするロックなアルバムだと私は思う。

とりあえずジャケ買いしてしまいました。メジャーから出ている作品でこれだけインパクトのあるジャケってなかなか無いと思う。前作『亀』は何か達観した雰囲気のジャケットだったが今作『釣り』の即物的な感じは凄い。っていうかスナップ写真やん！！（笑）

超個性的なヴォーカルはかなり好き嫌いが分かれると思いますが、演奏は文句無くかっこいい！前作と比べるとベースの鳴りがよりブリブリいってます（70年代のジョンウェットンみたいな）。

しかしこれだけの作品をスタジオ押さえ2日で録音しちゃうなんてスゴイなー。
