　シンフォニア・タプカーラ、別名「タプカーラ交響曲」は、伊福部さんの
唯一の交響曲と言われることがあります。彼の作品で最も素晴らしいものの
一つだと思います。私は第１楽章と第３楽章が迫力があって好きです。
アイヌ語の「タプカーラ」（大地を力強く踏みしめて踊る）の通りです。
また、曲全体に北海道の寒さと美しさが表れている気がします。
　２曲目、「管弦楽のための日本組曲」は最も初期の曲「ピアノ組曲」を
１９９１年に管弦楽にしたものです。これまた踊りをテーマにしています。
迫力のある「盆踊り」、美しい「七夕」、愉快な「ながし（の芸人）」、
再び大迫力の「ねぶた」の４曲で構成されます。伊福部さんは踊りや祭りの音楽を
たくさん書いた人でした。
　演奏については、コンサート（ライヴ）録音でないため迫力が足りないと
思う方もいると思います。しかし、ライヴでないのが「伊福部昭の芸術シリーズ」の
コンセプトだと思います。卒寿祝いは「特別編」でしたし。音質・音量は素晴らしく、
美しい曲は特に美しく感じられます。初めてタプカーラを聴く人にもおすすめします。
また、基本的にこのシリーズは作曲者監修で、かなり細かく指導したと言われています。
　６月末に発売される「伊福部昭の芸術９」には、この２曲を含む日本フィルの
コンサート録音を聴くことができます。指揮者が違うため、特に日本組曲は、
このＣＤとは全く異なる雰囲気を持っています。聞き比べてみてください。
　最後に一言。ＣＤジャーナルは「バランの世界を彷彿とさせる」と書いていますが、
少なくとも「大怪獣バラン」のメインタイトルとは似ていません。

日本的な音楽が病みつきになります。
ただし、録音のせいか低音がはっきり聞こえない部分があります
