カルト的人気を誇る「でじこ」第１巻。５分足らずの短編アニメのつるべ打ち。変な作品です。

深夜番組の中に、キラ星の如く誕生した小さなアニメ。デジキャラット・シリーズの記念すべきスタートです。5分足らずという短い時間の中にギュ-っと凝縮された濃厚なギャグ。でじこ達の素性や地球に来た事情は続編で明らかにされるけど、この巻では、いきなり宇宙船が落っこちてきて、変な少女達が、秋葉原で暮らし始めるんですよ。有無を言わさぬ、強引な程スピーディーな展開。主人公は、清く正しく良い子の常識を、敢然と打ち破ったってのもスゴイ。でじこは、結構、意地悪だったり、ハチャメチャだったり、怠け者だったりする普通の子。だけど、画面狭しと元気いっぱい駆け回り、本能の赴くまま真っ直ぐに生きる姿は、ホント可愛いくて、愛すべき存在です。必殺技が「目からビーム!」、えらく素朴な、ゆる〜いネーミングもいいな。ラブリーなぷちこがポツリと放つ、毒のある一言も、すごくスパイシーです。登場するキャラクターの中で、隅っこに、さりげなく出て来る「怒ってんだか、泣いてんだか、落ち込んでんだか、笑ってんだか、分からない生き物」って、そう聞いただけでも、面白過ぎません? ネコ耳にメイド服の美少女なんて、あまりにベタな設定だけど、語尾に、それぞれ「〜にょ」だの「〜ゲマ」だの付ける話し方が、「〜にゃろめ!」とか付けてた懐かしのアニメを思わせる気もします。特典映像「でじこの部屋」(番外編)のラジオ収録風景は、声優さん達の素顔が覗けて楽しかったけど、驚くべきは、同封されてたライナーノート。後の巻には、可愛いカード入りのもあったりだけど、この巻についてきたのは、虫眼鏡でないと読めないような細かい字でビッチリ書かれた桜井監督達の熱い思いを綴ったラブレターでした、合掌〜!!
