９０年前後のバンドブームが下火になる頃、代わって現れたZARD・WANDSを筆頭とするビーイングブームが９２-９３年に吹き荒れた。彼らの共通点はビーグラムレコード会社に在籍していた事や織田哲郎を頭とする有能なブレーンに支えられていたという事だ。それ故に特にサウンド面において彼らには何かしらの共通項を見出すことができる。

勿論、大黒もまたこのレコード会社に在籍していてサウンド面でも類似性を感じたが、同ブームにおいてZARDと共に紅一点的な存在だったために、異彩を放っていた。更には、「DAKARA」のような８０年代中期を彷彿とさせるようなダンスサウンドを楽曲に混ぜ込む事で、当時８０年代ディスコブームを知らない若年層に新鮮さと興奮を与えたのも事実だろう。加えてビーイングに共通する古来の邦楽的美メロを軸とする親近性あるサウンドとは対照的に、男性に対して圧倒的な主導権を持つかのような強気な女性を歌詞に含ます事で、更にこのブームにおいて一線を画していた気がする。同時に、上記のダンスサウンド故の強烈なビートを伴うドラムと腹の底から鳴るベースが更に強気な女性としての歌詞の迫力を高めた。当時は、ブラックタイプミニコンポがとてつもない流行を呼び「重低音ボタン」なるものが大抵付属していた。それを頻繁にオンにしていた歌手こそ大黒だった。

ビーイングブーム系歌手といえば、とかくそのお祭り的なノリが当時先行されがちだったが、彼女の曲を良く聴くと卓越したボーカル力を再認識されるのだ。メジャー以前からライブハウス等で下積みを経験していたと聞いた記憶がある。また、ブラックサウンドにルーツを求められそうな雰囲気もある。そのような経緯は、DEENにも言えることだ。

イメージ先行なビーイングブームの中で、織田・栗林系の美メロは言うまでも無いが、彼らの知られざる歌唱力に目を向けるのもまた良いかもしれない。

90年代にリリースされた大黒摩季さんのシングルが
年代順に収録されています。
それに加え、ボーナストラックとして
未発表曲が2曲とライブバージョンが4曲も収録！
まさに大黒摩季さんの90年代・集大成的な作品です。

個人的には、大黒摩季さんは
オリジナルアルバムに素敵な名曲が多いと感じるのですが、

とりあえず大黒摩季さんを聴いてみたいと思われた方は
このアルバムから入ると良いかも知れません。

　シングル２０曲が収録！！余すと来なく大黒さんの魅力がつまっております。

　それだけでなく新曲も２曲「ＢＲＡＮＤ　ＮＥＷ　ＤＡＹ」は緊急収録されるほどＦａｎサービスは抜群！もう１曲の「夢の続き」はホントにシングルカットできるほどの名曲。この曲だけのためにアルバムを買ったとしても絶対損はない。またさらに、ＬＩＶＥ音源も４曲も収録されているというもう、シングルを全部持っていたとしてもこのアルバムを買って絶対損はない！
