GARNET CROWのこの名曲「Mysterious Eyes 」はＴＶアニメ番組「名探偵コナン」を通じて知った次第であるが、その透明なヴォーカルとポップセンスを感じさせるメロディーとサウンドは彼らの音楽的才能の上質さを感じさせた、今尚何度聴き直しても色褪せる事の無い彼らGARNET CROWの傑作です

↑と思いたくなるほど、よく出来ている。
ちなみに、FM2局でパワープレイされたという経歴もある。
デビュー当時からの高い支持を得たこの曲無くして、
今のGARNET CROWは考えられない、と言うような楽曲。
個人的に非常に印象に残っているのが、イントロのドラム。
その後から勢いよく切り込んでくるギターも印象的でクール。

この曲で、彼らの1stアルバムのスタイルや方向性が
ほぼ固まっているのだから凄い。

ただ、カップリングが個人的にビミョーなので、
★を回収させていただきます。

　歌詞がすごく哲学的で良い。
　そして、アニメのテーマという部分も損なわない歌詞としてのバランスを見事に保っている。
　インディーズアルバムからのアレンジ違いだが､何となくこのアニメのテーマとしてすごく合っているから不思議だ。
　それが本当にミステリアスで良い。

ガーネット・クロウの不思議な世界を楽しめる一曲。現代から失われた懐かしい世界に引き込まれる。軽やかなメロディに、含蓄の深い詞。彼らの入門曲としてお勧めする。
