テレビ朝日系の生放送の音楽番組「ミュージックステーション（Ｍステ）」のオープニングテーマ。
何度でも聴きたくなる耳なじみのいい旋律がたまらない！
単調な曲調ながらも、微妙な強弱があり、斬新なナンバーに仕上がっている。
「１０９０」は「ワン オー ナイン オー」と発音し、
彼の使用するギターに関係しているそうだ。
補足情報だが、Ｍステのエンディングテーマは
Ｂ'ｚの「どうしても君を失いたくない」のカラオケバージョンだ。
これまた名曲中の名曲だ！

　ミュージックステーションのテーマ曲であるが、松本ファンの僕としてはかなり好きな曲です。
　細かい部分の音や、松本さん独特のギターの音、最高にいいです。

この頃の松本さんのギターエフェクトはロックマンで、今の音とは全く違う。
バック音も、時代の流れでB'zからも松ソロからも、ほとんど消えてしまったシンセサイザーがバリバリに鳴っている。

言うならば、良い時代の良い曲。絶対にこの音は今後の松ソロでは聴くことは不可能。

1090は、松本さんが所持しているレア物のヴィンテージギターのシリアルナンバーである。
このギターも、今ではGibsonに座を奪われ、ほとんど使われることがない。

曲に関して言えば、タイアップはMステ。赤ん坊からオッサンまで知っているであろう最強のロングタイアップ曲。
つーか、ここまで長いタイアップって貴重だな、と思うのは自分だけ?
ちなみに、シングルはアルバムと違って、イントロが短い。

2曲目のLIFEはアルバムの方に入ってるLIFE2の原型。2と違い、アップテンポでサッカーが似合いそうなスポーツ系アレンジ。2的なアコースティックな部分もあり、2が好きな人も好きになれそう。

時代が生み出した名盤。
