この曲のイメージとしては「冬」
どこか切なく、心打たれるバラードです。
クリスマスに聞くと、より、この曲がじんわりときます。

1993年11月28日発売のDEENの４枚目のシングル。「NTT DoCoMo　ポケットベル CMソング」。

山下達郎氏の「クリスマス・イブ」や、稲垣潤一氏の「クリスマスキャロルの頃には」などの曲に代表されがちなクリスマスソング。彼らに較べれば確かにマイナーなイメージがあるが、曲調も詞も幸福へと繋がるストーリー性があってナチュラルに聴き入られる。
その後に発売されるクラッシックスシリーズやPVのイメージや、歌詞に「White Christmas」という言葉があるために単純にクリスマスソングと位置づけられるが、実はその範疇を越えてもラブソングとして非常に価値がある。作曲の栗林誠一郎氏の柔軟性の賜物だろう。

C/W「さよならも言わないで〜Rain〜」は作詞・作曲共に池森秀一。バリバリの９０年代ポップスだが、詩風は現在のコンセプトと殆ど変わらない。
面白いのはDEEN１３ｔｈシングルにして、DEEN最大の名曲「夢であるように」の歌詞と全く同じフレーズがある。池森さんはこのフレーズが好きなのかな？　と思ってしまうがどうなんだろうか。

なお、サポートメンバーだったベースギター仲居辰磨氏の在籍ラストシングル（この後、田川伸治が正式に加入）。
