記念すべきDEENの初アルバムといったところでしょうか。
最近の曲と聴き比べてみるとやはり歌唱力に幾らか違いが見られます。
これは個人的な趣味もあるかも知れませんが、同じ曲で最近の物と比べれば若干見劣りするかも知れません。

しかしDEENファンとしては一度は聴いておいて損はない曲がたくさんです。初期のDEENにかえってみるのもまた深みがあり、発見もあって面白いように思います。僕は聴いてみて改めてDEEN（池森さん）の歌唱力を再確認しました。

お勧めは「思い切り笑って」
新たに最近収録されて、新しいアルバム等に入っている曲についてはやはり新しい方が良いかも知れません。

でもDEENですから。勿論聴いておいて損はない一枚です。

私が最初にDEENに出会ったのはこの曲ではなく"夢であるように"でした。爽やかな声で詞が印象に残りそこから彼の魅力にとりつかれました。
それからこのアルバムを見つけた時はDEENの事をあまりよく知らなくて、アーティストがDEENという理由だけで買ってしまったのですが、後に1stアルバムと分かりました。今はこのアルバムを買って本当に良かったと思えます。この出会いは運命だったのでしょうか？

通して聞いてみると、どの曲も個性的で一曲一曲に良い部分が必ず見つかり、ハズレの楽曲がないのが特徴的でした。
ほとんどがラブソングなんですが、中には２番の"FOR MY LIFE"のようなアップテンポな曲調で元気を与えてくれるのも入っていて嬉しかったです。
そして７番の"このまま君だけを奪い去りたい"はこのアルバムの中で一番気に入ってる曲です。この楽曲が作られた時ボーカリストが見つからなく探していたところ、ソロデビューを目指してた池森秀一さんに歌わせて見たら、素晴らしいとの評価を受けボーカリストに決定されたというエピソードがあるのですが、彼に歌わせて正解だと思いました。
理由は１フレーズ１フレーズゆっくりと丁寧にそして大切に歌っているように思えました。そういう面では感銘を受けました。

驚いたことは、このアルバムが発売されてからもう１０年も時が経っているのに、聴いていて全く変な感じを受けませんでした。
多分この先ずっとファンに受け継がれ色褪せないアルバムになるでしょう。
そしてDEENの楽曲を初めて聴いて印象に残った方はこのアルバムから入って、2nd、3rdと聴いてみるとDEENの成長を楽しめると思いますので1stから買うのをお勧めします。

最近TALES OF DESTINYがリメイクが発売されOPの『夢であるように』がまた少しずつだが売れ始めた彼等
DESTINYを初めてやる人も沢山いると思います
『夢であるように』をもし気に入ったのならこの『DEEN』も購入してみてください
彼等の原点がこのアルバムにあります!
十年以上も前のアルバムなので中古だとお得です
オススメの曲は『恋が突然よみがえる』
