4.0 out of 5 stars 世界の吹奏楽コンテスト！, 2004/10/28
世界の有名なアマチュアの吹奏楽団体が終結する演奏会。
各国の“お国柄”がよく出ていると思う。
この年は日本で行われた。
一枚目と九枚目は日本のプロの吹奏楽団によるもの。
1枚目の大阪市音楽団と9枚目の東京佼成ウインドオーケストラである。
一枚目一曲目の浜松序曲(伊藤康英)は、演奏会のオープニングにぴったりの、なかなか格好良い作品です。
そのほかも作曲者自身による演奏や、世界的に有名なゲスト指揮者も参加しています。

Disc1の大阪市音による、「澪明」「大阪俗謡」は神経の研ぎ澄まされた演奏です。それぞれの演奏のベストと言ってもよいかもしれません。

またDisc8のヤマハ浜松による「メトセラＩ」は吹楽で演奏されたバージョンとも少々違い、ハープを含んだ演奏となっています。このバージョンの音源はおそらくこのディスクだけ。
同じくDisc8収録の神奈川大演奏の「古祀」もHrソロに一部キズがあるものの、集中した演奏は聴き応えあり。

この２枚を聴くためだけでも、買いだと思います。
