   1stアルバム『FLAME VEIN』と2ndアルバム『THE LIVING DEAD』のあいだにリリースされた初のマキシ・シングル。このタイトルチューンでバンプ中毒になった人も多いハズの、バンドの基本姿勢を昇華した名曲。録音も演奏もまるで消えそうな“ランプ”のようにまだ脆弱（ぜいじゃく）だが、4人がここにいるような近い感覚が、今となっては貴重かも。また、「バトルクライ」は、どのアルバムにも未収でこのマキシでしか聴けないナンバー。「ここが僕のいるべき戦場」というフレーズの熱さを、静かにリフとアルペジオでアップリフトしてゆく構成が曲の強度を増していて、こちらもバンプを知るには外せない重要曲。もう1曲は1stアルバム所収の「リトルブレイバー」。（石角友香）

このCDにはシークレットトラックが2曲存在する。3曲目の後の4曲目に始まるのが『さよならナイ(インスト)』。
CDプレイヤーで1曲目を再生後、そこから３、４分ほど手動で巻き戻すと『さよならナイ(ボーカル付)』が始まる。
CDの盤面を良く見ると、コピーコントロールCDのような特殊加工がされていることが分かる。

持っていて知らなかった人は早速聴いてみよう！

BUMP　OF　CHICKENのCDの中で唯一あの名曲「バトルクライ」が聞ける一枚。あきらめない勇気がわいてくる。受験生におすすめ！3曲目が終わった後のボーナストラックも楽しいから、絶対買うべし！！

表題曲のランプもすごく好きだけど、
２曲目のバトルクライは私の中での、バンプNo.1ソングです
この曲を聴かずとして、バンプは語れないと思う。
アルバムにも入っていないので、このシングルでしか聴けないし、
これは買うしかないって感じです。
ちなみに表題曲のランプがバンプの曲の中で２番目に好きな曲です。
買っても絶対損はしない１枚!!
