　「原爆小景」を初めて聞いたのは、何回目かは定かじゃありませんが全日本合唱コンクールの全国大会だったと思います。記憶に間違いなければそれこそ「広島大会」だったと思いますが、あの演奏が頭から離れません。３曲目の「これが人間なのです。原子爆弾による変化をご覧ください」の冷たいナレーションとともに始まる地獄絵図。そして「おかあさーん」とそこここで叫ぶ女の子の声がやがて消えうせていく、あのショッキングな曲をもう一度聴いてみたいと思い、このＣＤを購入したのです。

　・・・が、東京混声ということもあるのでしょうか、プロの合唱団にかかると、どうにもあのときの背筋が寒くなる感情が沸いてこないのです。そして男声部によって歌われる地を這う「御詠歌」も地獄の有様を現出してはくれませんでした。
　誤解を恐れずにいうなら「きれいな原爆小景」なんですね。この曲は、ドロドロと、人間の性への執着を全面に出し、ある程度音が外れようが何であろうが、そのときの感情のままに歌い継ぐべき曲だと考えています。

このＣＤの曲集すべてに言えることですが、音に忠実になりすぎたことが、この録音の失敗の原因かと・・・
