SCOOBIE DO、インディー1stアルバム。
1曲目「Do The Scoobie」で「なんだなんだ？」と思い
2曲目「白い蝶々」ですでにもってかれます。
10曲終わる頃には完全にハマっていました。こんなカッコイイ奴らがいたのか！
今までのバンドにはない、ファンキーでソウルフルな音にやられました。
個人的にスクービーのアルバムでこれが一番好きです。ホントかっこいい。

ぶるんぶるん・うねるベース、カッティングしまくるギター。聴いた事ないハイハットのリズム、そして、うわ、なんやこれ、めちゃソウルフル！なボーカル。
アルバムBeautiful Daysではその卓越したポップセンスを見せつけてくれたスクービー。サイケデリック・ファンクをやらせてもこんなにかっこいいバンド、そういない。例えば、5曲目「都会」の歌詞。「あ・い・の~十字架に~／オレは~ひざまずく~」文学的？こんな歌詞が、乾いたファンキーなメロディーにのってます。つづいて「Gimme Some More」「きまぐれ天使」。男も女も、秒殺しますよ。ちょっと気持ち悪いけど気持ちいい、うーんたまんねえな、そんな一枚です。

自分が疎かっただけかもしれないが、初めて体感するリズムと曲に、なんだこりゃ!と痺れ、ボーカルを聴いてズコーー!と更に腰を抜かした。

リズムは未知のものなのに、ボーカルが超、人間臭い。
しかし、だからこそ未知のリズムもすんなりと自分に入ってきた気がする。

自分は『白い蝶々』が特に好きだ。
パツッ、パツッと入るブレイクが小気味よく、FUNKで踊ったことないのに、聴いていて勝手に体が動いた。

まぁ、とにかく他にいない人達だ。
