エモといえばゲットアップキッズ。ゲットアップキッズといえば絶対1st。

バンドとしての安定感や曲の完成度などでいえば2ndの方が上ですが、
疾走感と、なんとも言えずいいエモーションが出ている演奏や歌はこの1stでしか聴けません。

個人的に、自分の一番の青春期を一緒に過ごしたアルバムなので思い入れもありますが、
それ以上にいい曲揃い、そして本当に、いい感情出てます。青春としか言えません！名盤。

彼らのアルバムの中で一番哀愁漂ってます。
とにかく切ない気持ちになること間違いなし！
激しいギターがどこか切ない「ComingClean」「Washington Square Park」
もの悲しげなアルペジオが美しい「FallSemester」「Better Half」など
哀愁メロディーで構成され統一感のあるアルバムなのでサラリと聴けるはず。
リーズナブルな価格も見逃せないですね。

驚異的！！わずか2日半のレコーディングでこんなにも素晴らしい作品を作るなんて凄すぎます！エモｰショナルで切ない曲に心打たれます。
