処女作でこの完成度！好き嫌いはとりあえず聞いた後で。まずは聞いてほしい。（１）の重いインスト曲から一転、BUDGIE「BREADFAN」のコピーでありながら本家を凌いでいると言う噂も高いスラッシュチューンの（２）への繋がりは、聞いても聞いても鳥肌また鳥肌！かと思えば彼らの出身地である青森をイヤと言う程意識させてくれる（４）など、個性的すぎる傑作そろいぶみ。人間椅子に限っては、どっかで聞いたようなメロディというありふれた台詞は全く通用しません。日本人万歳！

何故まあこんなにも日本的な、文学的な歌詞とヘヴィメタルな曲調がマッチするのか。
その独創性も然る事ながら曲の完成度・演奏力に申し分なく、イヤっちゅーほど椅子の世界に引き込まれてしまう。
おいしい毒のようなこの音楽を聴かずして死ぬのは勿体ないと、思うのです。

東北弁を用いた民謡みたいなボーカルとハードロックを組み合わせる面白さ。津軽三味線のような旋律を弾くギター。偏執狂的・変態的・猟奇的でありつつ日本文学っぽい匂いも感じられる味わい深い詩世界。音がまだ軽めだが、人間椅子らしさのつまった名作。
「リンゴの泪」は売られていくリンゴを擬人化した独特の詩世界。津軽三味線のようなギターソロはしびれます。
「賽の河原」は「陰獣」「黒猫」などのような人間椅子お得意の、中間部にスピードアップした展開をはさむタイプだが、そのパターンの曲のだいご味を非常にコンパクトな形でまとめている名作。特に曲の最後の部分には、読経の終わり方にも似た荘厳でしめやかな響きがあって非常にカッコイイ。
「天国に結ぶ恋」は詩がかなり変態的・偏執狂的・猟奇的。ノホホンとした田舎くさい口調で歌うのが、かえって異常性・いやらしさを助長していて妙に怖い。
「人間失格」は途中で音が小さくなって非常に静かな間奏に入るが、その空間美とわびさびに満ちた世界が実にすばらしい。更にその静かな演奏がだんだんと盛り上がっていき、叫び声とともに爆発する感じがたまらない！興奮する。ただ、いか天レーベルから出した前作「人間椅子」のバージョンと比べると冗長すぎ、静寂からの盛り上がりもそれほど目立たなくなった気がして、どうも私はこのアルバムのバージョンを好きになれない。
「桜の森満開の下」では前作のバージョンと同じだけの興奮を得られた。ラスト２分半の演奏の大げさで壮大な盛り上がりと、いかにも舞台の幕を下ろすような重々しい終わり方に鳥肌が立ちます。
