デビュー作品「Thousand wave」のリマスター版です。「Thousand wave」は現在入手困難なので買いそびれた人はこのアルバムを是非買ってください。今の松本サウンドとは打って変わって、ギターサウンドのオンパレードとテクニカルな曲が満載です。発売されてかなりたちますが、今聞いてもかなりかっこいいです。ギターサウンドが好きな方も聞いてみてはいかがでしょうか？

このアルバムは海外のHR/HMのアルバムにひけをとりません。この作品は私がヘヴィメタに目覚めるきっかけになった作品ですから。

松本といえばB'zのギタリストというイメージが普通ですが、ギブソンのシグネチャーモデルが発売されるなど、日本が世界に誇れる数少ない日本人ロックギタリストの一人であることもまた事実。この作品は日本人ロックギタリストの頂点としての松本の最高傑作なのです。

チックコリアのSPAIN（Jazz史上に残る名曲です）をギターインストで、という素晴らしい解釈。PlayItSoLoudでの小室哲哉との鬼気迫るバトル。NoWayOutでの硬いサウンド・・・すばらしいです。「ギタリストとして」、楽曲的にもテクニック的にも妥協をしていません。各曲での松本のプレイには魂が感じられます。

B'zのロック的なサウンドが好きな方や、ギターインストが好きな方には一聴の価値ありだと思います。

７０年代後半から８０年代前半辺りに流行ったクロス・オーヴァー系のサウンドに、へヴィ・メタルのような重量感をブレンドしたサウンドと言えばイイのかな？。ヴォーカル曲が１曲も入ってないこの手のアルバムとしてはかなりハイレベルだと思います。オリジナル曲もカッコいいですが、やはり最大の注目点はチック・コリアのカヴァー”SPAIN”でしょう。このキレ具合！！凄いよ。マジで。是非オリジナルと聴き比べて頂きたいです。
