インディで出した『空手の先生』『姉さん裸走り』に続いて遂にメジャー・デビューを飾ったロリータ18号。13は忌野清志郎との共作で話題性も十分。お茶の間パンク・ハードコア歌謡=色モノと思われがちだがギャグにまで昇華させた毒と狂気が全編からほとばしる力作。

あのキヨシロー氏が「ロリータ18号、いいっすね」と言ったからには、身に覚えのある人は聴かねばなるまい。ガールズ・バンドは数々あれど、比較対象を探すにはセンパイの少年ナイフあたりを挙げなくてはならないほど、同時代では貴重なキャラクター。つまり、誰とも比較できないってこと。 94年に初の音源を発表してから『カラテの先生』『姉さん裸走り』と2枚のアルバムをリリース、またもやイミなしタイトルで迫るこの3枚目は、なぜかテキサス録音。アメリカでライヴにあわせての都合だったらしいが、これが見事にハマッた。日本のガールズ・バンドにつきまとう、言い訳や色眼鏡をブッちぎった潔白な音に、しばし耽溺。音はヒネリなしのガレージ・パンク系だが、歌うのはねじれてひんまがった幼児声。この魅力的な声に、キヨシロー氏はブルースを感じたのであるまいか。アルバム未収録のシングル「サルーンc/wロマンチストII」は2曲ともズバヌケタぬけた名曲で、こちらも必聴。 (ミヤモトヒデオ) --- 1997年09月号

　個人的には一番のお勧めです。
「ハードコア列伝」というすごくかっこいい曲が入ってます。
ライブではたまにしかやりませんが
めちゃめちゃ感動します。
今回は忌野清志郎との合作である
ロマンチストIIIも入っていてお得です。
他の曲もまったく悪くないです。
この頃から、徐々にメロディが綺麗になってるかなと
感じる一枚でもあります。

タイトルの時点でかなりビビるでしょう。
肉喰う？なんだそれ？？

聴いてみて、更にビビるでしょう。
♪肉、喰う、肉、喰う、しあわせ~♪なんだそれ？

でもね、聴いて、あれ？ってまた聴いて、
何これ？ってまた聴いて、
聴いて、聴いて、聴いて…はまるんですよ。

バックトラックはかっこいい、という人が多いです。
声、すごいから、まさよちゃん。

でもでも、すごい声が、色々出せるんですよ。

曲によって声が、音が、全然違います。
そして、聞いた後で考える、髭忍者、って何？

すばらしいです。
ハードコア、(お茶の間）パンクス、切ないバラード。
全てすばらしいです。
誰でも、一度は聴いて、損はないです。
