この「METALHEAD」は、彼等の原点であるNWOBHM(New Wave Of British Heavy Metal)の正統的様式美、正統派からの枝葉であるパワーメタルの攻撃性、'90年代メタル特有のダークでヘヴィな雰囲気とリフワーク、全て兼ね備えられている感じです。
全体的にミドルテンポの曲が多く、リズムギターがダウンチューニングでエッジを効かせピッキングハーモニクスを巧みに使いヘヴィに演出、ベースがリズムギターとユニゾンで重みを強調、リードギターがテクニカルでメロディアス。時折、泣きのフレーズがあったりします。ボーカルはベテランのオッサンとは思えないパワフルなハイトーンが良い。最も注目すべきはドラムの音で「ドスッ」とキレの良い音を出しています

個人的に好きな曲は７曲目の「オール・ガンズ・ブレイジング」
いかにもヘヴィメタルという感じで疾走感がたまりません

NWOBHM・サクソン全盛期からのファンは「違うんだよなぁ」と思うかもしれませんが、'90年代にヘヴィメタルを聴き始めた人には最適でしょう
これから聴いてみたい人にもオススメです
