「ルーマニア」というゲームから生まれた架空のアイドル・セラニポージは、ある意味、奇跡のような1枚です。

ゲームから生まれた音楽が、ここまでキュートで、センチメンタルで、普遍性のあるポップスを生み出すとは。プロデュースは、福富幸宏なので、もっとハウス色が強いのかと思いきや、メロディアスないろんなタイプの曲にジャストな打ち込みを施した好サポートぶりです。

ボーカルはセシルのゆきちがYUKIとして担当。キュートながら実にクールでドライな歌声を披露している。架空のアーティストということで、匿名性を重視した感情を極力押さえた唱法が素晴らしい。

そして、本当の主役は、このコンセプトそのもの、そしてソングライティングと歌詞を手掛けた佐々木朋子という方。この方、なんとセガの社員だということで、これまたびっくり。ゲーム音楽出身というと、光栄から出た菅野よう子を思い出すが、佐々木朋子嬢は、セラニをセラニたらしめている絶対的な要素であるヘンテコなストーリー性のある歌詞をも手掛けているのだから、すごい。奇妙で聴いたこともないような歌詞ではあるが、内容を噛み締めながら聴くと現代社会の孤独感や殺伐とした感じをも掬い取っていて、見事とか言いようがない。

とにかく自由な発想が、縦横無尽に行き交う、素敵なアルバムです。

　ルーマニアのゲームをやりすっかりはまってしまいました。
ミステリアスかつキュートな声で歌い上げる不思議な詩にどんどん引き込まれていきます。どの曲も素敵なのですが　「宇宙船はどこにいった」「僕のマシュ…」が大すきです！セラニ最高！

「のら犬ミケ」の気持ちを歌った10曲目「勇気の出る歌」を聴いて
せつなくて泣きそうになった。犬猫を平気で捨てる人に聴いてほしい。
・・・でも勇気も出ます。自分も頑張ろうと思える歌です。
ゲームミュージックとは知らなかったなぁ。
その他の曲も良いです。
