ケムリの野暮ったさ、ピールアウトの尋常でない
テンション、最初のギター音だけで「Do The Boogie」
を自分たちの曲にしてしまっているミッシェル、
「ニュールンベルク~」を純粋に気持ちいいダンス
トラックと化させた朝本浩文&吉村健一、オリジナル
とはまた違った“DREAM”を表現したピロウズ…

など一曲一曲の魅力を紹介していくとキリがありません。
それぞれのバンドのいいところが自分たちの曲をやる
とき以上に顕著に表れているような気がします。

残念なことに2005年６月９日現在、ここに参加した
バンドの半分ほどが解散、または解散を表明していますが、
これだけ濃いメンツに愛されたルースターズとその楽曲に
ルースターズファンも参加バンドのファンも
「カッコいい！」と思える作品になっています。

追記：元ピチカートファイブの小西康陽氏が
「テキーラ」で参加したいと言って却下された
のは知る人ぞ知る逸話(笑)

「なんじゃこりゃ？？」と首を捻るカバーが多い中で、正真正銘の大傑作カバーアルバム。
この作品に収録されている曲は、ほとんどがルースターズが８０年代前半に発表した曲だが、
参加しているどのアーティストも、原曲の良さを損なうことなく、自らのセンスを巧みにちりばめ、見事に９０年代的アプローチで楽曲を消化している。

ルースターズ好きはもちろん、ロック好きにも聞いてもらいたいアルバム。原曲を知らなくても充分楽しめる。どの曲も素晴らしいが、1578が特に秀逸。

4.0 out of 5 stars 気になった方はルースターズも聞いてみて！, 2003/3/13
ピロウズは意外にぴったり、というかまるでピロウズの曲になっています。スーパーカーはルースターズを聞いたことがなかったそうですが、これも良いです。ミッシェルの演奏した原曲にはさらにストーンズの原曲（モトネタ？）がありますので、そちらも確かめてみて下さい。

あとピールアウトは、大江さんも聞いたら喜びそうです。とにかく皆楽しんで聞けるので、多くの若きロック好きにお勧めです。この第２弾も出して欲しいです。「再現できないジグソウパズル」とか「SAD SONG」とか。参加したい人もたくさんいると思うし。
