過度な感情移入を排し,淡々とした芸風が示されているが,個性的な面白味はあまり感じられない。音色は淡彩で乾いた感じ。細かなパッセージがはっきりしない場面がある他,時おり見られる前のめりがちなクセのあるリズムやテンポには疑問が残る。

CDジャーナルのデータベースのレビューにいささか問題を感じるので、入手は難しいようであるがあえてレビューさせていただく。
ツェヒリンのピアノのタッチが不明瞭とあるが、そういうことはまったくなく、やや左手よりのバランスではあるが一音一音は実に明確であり、余計な誇張も一切ない。そのぶんベートーヴェンの曲の構成が実にわかりやすい。
また音色についても淡彩であると書かれているが、これに関しても異論がある。おそらくこの録音ではブリュートナーを使用していると思われるが、スタインウェイのきらびやかな音色とは違う独自の響きの美しさが聞ける。ハーモニックペダルを使っていると思しきよく響くロングトーンの上にキレの良い短音が乗る音も聴け、個人的にはこの美しさは筆舌に難いと感じられる。
このCDで聞ける「月光」の静謐さは並大抵のピアニストではまねできない。
ベルリン・クラシックスより格安にて全集が出ているはずなので機会があればぜひ聞いていただきたい。
録音に関しても最近のDGの響きを過剰に入れてライブ感を演出しているような録音ではなく、実にきれいにピアノの音が収録されているのでお勧め。
