「ルパンのあのテーマソングが聞きたい」という人にはぜひぜひ購入して頂きたい逸品。Disc1では東名高速をアクセル全快でぶっ飛ばすのにちょうどいい曲が。disc2では、最初３曲は歌謡曲だけど後半は夜グラス片手にほろ酔いで聞くのにぴったりなジャズテイスト。しかも「ルパン３世のテーマ」はすべて網羅されており各世代のルパンのテーマとはこれだ！というのが必ず入っているところが感動モノ。ちなみにわたしは79'80'モノが懐かしさで涙腺が緩みました。ルパンファンでなくとも聞き入ってしまいそうな曲がびっしり。２０年も前の曲がほとんどなのに現在でも新鮮に聴ける。そんな曲をアニメ主題歌にしている「ルパン３世」はすばらしい！

　昔ナツカシのルパン三世のテーマ・ソングが聴きたい！」という今30−40歳ぐらいの人には間違いなく本作品がオススメです。子供の頃TVで見た番組のテーマをごっそりまとめて収録した本作品は、当時にタイムトリップさせてくれます（78年・79年・80年でテーマのアレンジが違っていたなんて忘れてました）。
　ちなみに、もしもっと新しい時代（栗貫ルパン時代）の作品が聴きたければ、「ルパン三世TVスペシャルBEST オープニング&エンディングテーマ・コレクション」がオススメです。
　なお、現在ルパン三世関連のCDは5年ほど前のブームのお陰でたくさん出ています。確かにルパン三世関連の曲にはジャズ風のアレンジに相性がいい曲が多いので、それなりには楽しめると思います。が、これらは基本的に素材が「ルパン三世」であるというだけで、別の視点から「音楽」を楽しむ作品群です。

とにかくお勧めのCDです。
ルパン三世といえば、もぅこの曲しかないですよね。「サックスを始めるきっかけはオープニングのこの曲が吹きたいから」という話も良く聞きます。そしてチャーリーコーセーの歌声。
ディスク１は、ほとんどオープニング曲で構成されていますが、同じ曲でも、年代と共にアレンジも変わるので聞き飽きないです。

２枚あわせて７９曲。盛りだくさんな逸品です。
