前作の雰囲気とは一味違いますが、とてもいい音楽に仕上がっています。

ヤマトの音楽の特徴として、味方の音楽もさることながら敵の音楽にすばらしいものが多いです。

「ヤマト1」のガミラス、「ヤマト2」の白色彗星、「新たなる旅立ち」のゴルバ、

「ヤマトよ永遠に」の暗黒星団帝国、そしてヤマト3のボラー連邦です。（完結編のディンギル帝国もあります）

宮川氏はこのヤマト3の音楽を作曲するにあたり、スラブ音楽の技法を取り入れています。

静かな曲調から、だんだんテンポが速くなっていくのところが聴いていてとても心地いいです。

このＣＤは現在、廃盤になっていますが再販版が発売されています。

そちらは、デジタルリマスターが施され音質が良く、値段も安いです。

ヤマトを愛する全ての人に再販版をおすすめします。

劇場版を中心に見た人にとって、このヤマト3の音楽はあまり馴染みがないかもしれませんが、

ヤマトの音楽に手抜きはありませんので、ぜひ一度お試しください。

　あの二つのメインテーマ曲はどちらも名曲ですよ。劇場版でないからあまり取り沙汰されないけど，聴けば誰もが「ア!」と思うはずです。「これこれ・・・」と。アップ・テンポにしろ，スロー・テンポにしろ，どちらにしても聴き応えがある。他の名曲に比べても決して引けを取らないですよ。
