アーバンシャドウが最高です。最近出た LUPIN THE 3RD JAZZ で大野さんがアレンジしていますが、これが原曲です。初めて聞いた時、これは買いだなと思いました。結果的に山田康雄さんがﾋｭｰﾁｬｰﾘﾝｸﾞしたラストCDとなってしまいました。是非とも再販して欲しいCDです。

ルパン三世のアルバムでもあり、ルパン三世を長年演じていた山田康雄さんの2ndアルバムでありながら最期のアルバムとなってしまった今作品。
特徴は親友であった大野雄二氏の音楽と時折アドリブをちりばめた山田氏のルパンとのコラボレーション。
特にアドリブでは「せ・しゃれまん」を彷彿とさせる「雄二氏への、ある呼びかけ」がファンにとってはある意味泣けるシーンだと思います。

本来でありながら3ndアルバムを作るのを非常に楽しみにして本アルバムを制作後に
雄二氏への電話でも「早く次のアルバム作らないと俺死んじゃうよ」と度々呼びかけていたという山田氏。
その僅か2年後に亡くなっていることから、自分の死期を悟っていたのかも知れません。

現在では廃盤となっている上、元々そう多くはプレスされなかった本作品。山田ファンだけでなく昔からルパンを見ていた方々からすれば非常に価値のあるアルバム作品となってしまっています。是非とも何かの機会で再販として制作されることを期待しています。
