「二郎兄貴が燃えている。炎の如く燃えている。
ムサシの心で燃えている。まさにバイキングだ。
二郎兄貴カッコイイ！」―――関根 勤（CD帯より）

ネタで終わるものではない。次の紅白出場に賭け、酒を断ちつづける（いつまで……?!）ナイスガイ・ジロー渾身の三部作を、メドレー（本人の出ていない映像つきカラオケでオレが歌った時、「ムサシ」の部分で本当に「仏像を彫」っていたのには笑った）、および１曲ごと単独での、コモエスタ八重樫氏によるリミックスによって堪能できる、98年12月発売、（おそらく）演歌初のマキシシングル。しかも、エクセレントなCD-EXTRA仕様である（ただし、プログラムと共に収録してある、QuickTime3.0のインストールが必要となるので-QT3.0以降の新しいヴァージョンが既にPCに入れてある場合、そのままではこのCD-EXTRAは見られない場合が多いとのこと-、その点ご注意を）。
なお、各曲のオリジナル・ヴァージョンもそれぞれすばらしいものであり、あわせてお聞きになることをおすすめしたい。

　笑うためのＣＤではない！音楽として最高に素晴らしい出来の作品です。
　なんといっても実力派ＤＪ，コラムニスト、ミュージシャンであるコモエスタ八重樫氏がリミックスしているのだから、音楽センスは抜群なのだ！

　「ムサシ」シベリア・ミックスはなんと大滝詠一さんの「さらばシベリア鉄道」風のアレンジだ。「炎」フラメンコ・ミックスは哀愁漂うスパニッシュ・ギター？の音色がいっそう涙を誘う。ポップスファンのツボを痛いほど刺激するぞ。そして推薦者は関根勤！買うしかないでしょう！
