PAMELAHって、いいなぁ〜って、いま聞いても思う。
何がいいって、詩はいいし、曲はいいし、アレンジもいい。
なんか、古めいた言葉で言えば「キャッチー」な感じ。
自分の簡易性の高い気持ちの部分の中に、
すんなりすんなり・・・ほんとすんなり入ってくる。
なんていうか、普通に聴いていて、詩がまずすごい。
人間というものに焦点を置いて、人が弱い部分と、
その弱さを盾に強がる部分が、強めのリズムのオケに乗って
水原由貴のボーカルを通して、耳に入ってくる。
前半は、Being効果もあって、結構採算ラインに乗っていたし、
もうちょっと続けて欲しいなぁ〜って感じの、
ユニットだったことは確か。
で・・・このCDは、メジャーデビュー2年間目までの
ベストアルバムであるが、
曲順は、決して発売順とかではなく、
多分、このCDのために選曲をされた形なのだと思うが、
並びが、非常におもしろい。
とりあえず、PAMELAHが好きだった人が
（あるいは、現在も好きな人が）どう見るかはわからないが、
個人的には、聴いてて悪くないな〜って思う。
ただ、PAMELAHの魅力って、結構デカい音量で、
繰り返し聴きながら、リズムを感じて、
そして歌詞を確認して、そのあたりで二度おいしいみたいな、
そんなノリのアーチストだったので、そのあたりを考えると、
「いささかちょっとまとも過ぎな並び」って気もしないでもない。
しかし、このCDは「Blind Love」と
「I Shall Be Released」を離して選曲しているあたりで、
「どうにかして全体を聞かせて、新たなファンを取り込みたい」
っていう、そんな意気込みがちょっと感じられるのと、
わりとアルバムからは、さほど「PAMELAHジャンキーな曲」を出さず、
さらっと初級編みたいな感じに選曲されているのような
気がするのは、私の単なる思い違いだろうか？。
でも、よくできたアルバムだと思う。
で・・・PAMELAHって、オケがすごくいいなぁ〜って思う。
ギターの小澤氏のテクは、私はB'zのあの人よりも、
絶対うまいと私は思っているし、音に骨がある。
できれば、この選曲で「オリジナルカラオケ」が聴きたい。
「コンプリート・オブ・PAMELAH at the BEING studio」の
オリジナルカラオケでもいいから聴いてみたい。

解散後に発売され続けている2作の非公式ベストはシングル中心のため少し物足りない。
こちらは『シューティングスター』とか、素晴らしいシングルＡ面以外の曲があって感激いたしました！
かわいらしく、キャッチャーに女心が伝わるいい曲が多いグループで大好きでした！
あと、小澤さんのギターのプレイはかっこよすぎです！他のアーティストのサポートをしていてもすぐに気づくほどです！『ＵＬＴＲＡＭＡＮ』での劇伴もかっこよかったし！
