このアルバムは学生時代アナログ盤で購入し、テレビの放映をきっかけに再度CDで購入しました。『ルパン三世』にはない圧倒的なスケールの楽曲『野生への序曲』からスタートするこのアルバムは町田義人の唄を含め全11曲収録。聞くたびに高倉健とデビュー当初の初々しい薬師丸ひろ子の姿が目に浮かびます。個人的には映画にはINSTのみで流れた、町田義人の『銀河を泳げ』と衝撃的なラストが蘇る『悪夢は頼子と共に』がお勧めです。映画を見た人も、見ない人も一聴の価値があるアルバムです。

渋いですｗ
かっこいい、これは、最初はタケカワユキヒデ氏との二人で歌われるのを
町田氏一人で歌われることになったそうです。
その判断は、正解でしょう。素晴らしい出来です．
同じく、町田氏が歌う挿入歌もはいっております。こちらもすばらしい曲です。

1978年、原作の奥深いテーマはとりあえずうっちゃって、ド派手なプロデューサー、職人の監督、魅せる役者達、そして新人のガキで映画化された当時の「超」話題作の復刻サントラ。うむ、映画館に通いつめ、家に帰れば片手に斧、片手にガバという出で立ちで盤面が擦り切れるほどサントラに聴き入った青春の日々が懐かしいぞ。まず、このアナログ版と復刻CD版のジャケデザが同じ点で私的にはポイント↑。内容は全曲「大野サウンド」の塊で、曲数・曲順もアナ版と同じ。町田義人の唄いあげる主題歌（11.戦士の休息）も宜しいが、シンセのホイッスラーサウンドがメロのED（10.悪夢は頼子と共に）も良いですなぁ。ただし、OPテーマ（1.野性の序曲）が、実は1959年の名作巨編「ベン・ハー」（監督ウィリアム・ワイラー／音楽ミクロス・ローザ）のOPと××××なのは、誰にも言えないナイショのハナシ...

映画はともかく大野雄二の音楽は素晴らしい。「ルパン三世」の音楽がお馴染みですがあの延長線上としても大野雄二のアルバムとしても楽しめます。
