小さい頃から「雪村いづみ」という歌手が好きでして、美空ひばり、江利チエミさんには悪いけれど、僕にとっては比べ物にならない存在でした。もうあちら（外国）の歌を歌わせたら話しにならない。正直ハーフだと思っていた時代もあるくらいですから。それほどアメリカ文化が似合う歌手でありました。生き方も他の２人とは違っていたように思います。その「雪村いづみ」と怪しげなスーパーバンド「ティン・パン・アレィ（キャラメル・ママ？）」との共演、しかも題材は服部良一、見方を替えれば一種の異端児ばかりともいえる方々達の織り成す世界はさて如何なるものか？？まあ聞いてのお楽しみです。私は好きですね。特に秋の夜長にはピッタシ。

~かっこいいなあ（ため息）。

年齢的に言えば、私にとってティンパンアレイは父の世代、服部良一は祖父の世代と
言えると思います。つまりこの「スーパージェネレーション」は現在、作曲者（祖父）
／演奏者（親）／聞き手（孫）の３ジェネレーションを意味しているとも言えるの
ですが、（孫）にあたる世代の私が聴いても作品が古びているかというとそ~~んなことは
全くなく、十分（十二分）にかっこいいと感じました。

服部良一の「モダン」とティンパンアレイの「モダン」がかけ合わさって永遠の
「モダン」が形成されているような気がします。ティンパンのやや過剰な演奏を
うるさくを感じるか、それともその「モダン」を志向する心意気に感動するかは
人によって分かれるかもしれませんが（私は後者~~です）、ひとまず音楽ファン
ならば一聴の価値のある作品だと思います。

個人的には愛聴盤です。~

はじめて聴いたのが、中学生の頃。兄に聴かされた。

その頃は、ヘイヘイブギーや銀座カンカン娘に東京ブギウギ以外いいと思えなくて、というより聴いていなかった。今になって久々に聴くと凄くいいことに驚きました。でも引越しで録音したカセットなくしちゃってからは、ふと思い出したとき頑張ってCDショップを散策したりした。そしてやっと手に入れて聴くと、やっぱり良い。秋の夜長にも良い。冬の街を歩くときにも良い。1曲目のステキなジャズフュージョンの印象にも近いインストの曲から入り込まされてしまう。

古き日本の現在進行形の音楽が好きな方なら、良いと思える作品であるはず。
