デビューから半年で西武球場でのライブを成功させ人気の頂点を極めた快心の3作目　常にエアロスミスを意識したようなライブパフォーマンスでエアロスミスの４ｔｈアルバムROCKSを意識した作りになっているようです、即ちライブの勢いをアルバムにパッケージしようと起承転結を考えたアルバム構成になっています、しかし私が再結成後行ったライブでは@KINGS R&RはオープニングどころかSET　LISTからも外れていましたが（笑）、Bはシャケがボーカルを執る珍しいナンバー　FJAJAUMA-NARASIは１８・９ぐらいの小娘を今夜こそ何とかしようと歌うSEXソングでベースの音がカッコイイです　IIT'S　ALL　RIGHTはウクレレをバックにバンド結成当初のことを歌にしたアコースティックなナンバーでアルバムを締めくくります。　デビュー時から見るとボーカル、YUKAIの成長、シャケのギターテクニックやセンス、バンドの人気の頂点を極めまさにバンドの今後を見てみるとエアロスミスのROCKSと被ってしまいます。ROCKSとKING'S語呂も良いし絶対に意識してると思います

レッズの代表曲はカジノドライブに収録されたWINE＆ROSESだと思いますが、代表するアルバムはこのキングスであると断言いたします。素晴らしいアルバムです。

世がバンドブームだった頃に名前を聞くようになったバンドは山ほどあったが、レッドウォーリャーズ（以下レッズと略）のようにR&Rを聴かせてくれたバンドは少ない。
バンドブームが去る前にレッズは解散した。セールスだけを考えると勿体無い話だ。今はちょこちょこと活動しているようだ。

この「KING'S」には当時のレッズの勢いも封入されている。ダイヤモンド・ユカイのボーカル。シャケのギター。すべてがR&Rだ。もちろん技術、センスも光る。
特に締めの曲「IT'S ALLRIGHT」。ウクレレも入ってアコースティクに終わるのがイイ。この曲はレッズ結成時のことを歌詞にしたのか？それも興味深い。
「KING'S R&R」に始まり「IT'S ALLRIGHT」に終わる。

なんてクールなアルバムだ！　当時中学生の私にそう思わせた数少ないアルバムだ。その評価は今も不変である。
