Dreyfusレーベルに移ってからの彼のファンですが、このDVDでのセッションは同じメンバを擁しての「ライヴ・アット・ブルーノート東京」とはまたアレンジやアドリブが全く異なり、とても楽しめる出来に仕上がってます。

トリオとしての息もぴったりで、前出のライヴ・アット・ブルーノート東京よりも円熟した感じを受けました。(東京でのライブは97年で、このドイツのライブは98年) 出だしの Little Peace in C から心地よい緊張とともに、一気に観きれるという点でも、３人ともとても惹きつけるプレーをしていると思います。
アレンジでいえば、Steve Gaddのドラムが際立っており、映像的にも見栄えがします。
DVDとしてみた場合に、最近のデジタルtoデジタルで作成されたタイトルと比べると、画質や音に物足りない点が指摘されそうですが、それよりも Michel Petruccianiトリオのプレーを楽しめる、という点でとても貴重なタイトルだと思います。

彼のエネルギッシュなピアノに、圧倒されるライブです。
ＣＤで彼の音を知っていても、やはり映像と一緒に楽しめるこの作品では、待ったく彼のエネルギーの感じられ方が違うと思います。
ドラムも、ベースもとてもグルーヴしていてカッコよく、それをピアノが縫うように、乗っかるように、どんどん前に進んでいく音楽が魅力的な１枚。
元気を出したいとき、落ち込んでいるとき、彼のごきげんなピアノが特効薬になるのでは。
